February 05, 2019Honoree Nomination Form for Lehi Heritage Day 2019
Past Heritage Day Honorees
Let the nominations begin!
We are taking nominations for our 2019 Heritage Day honorees. Each year the Lehi Historical Society and Archives collects nominations for this honor, which it votes upon and then awards at Lehi’s Heritage Day on Labor Day.
“The amazing people we’ve chosen in the past have given a tremendous amount of time to our community,” said Lara Bangerter, director of The Lehi Historical Society and Archives. “They’ve started sports programs, served on city council, started or helped with community traditions, served in the military, volunteered in countless ways with Boy Scouting and have carried on family legacies that have benefited our community for a generation or more. And pretty much everyone has made pompoms for a float for Round-Up Days or served on the rodeo committee. They are all very deserving.”
Click the button above to access the nomination form. Answer the questions on the nomination form and then email it to lehihistory@gmail.com or send it to the Lehi Historical Society and Archives at 34 E. 100 North Lehi, UT 84043. Nominations are due May 1.
Winners will be honored with a commemorative brick in the Walk of Fame Garden in front of the Legacy Center at 123 Center St., and a display at Heritage Day.
“Heritage Day is all about honoring living people,” said Judy Hansen, founding member of the Archives, “people who have made, contributed to or preserved Lehi’s history in one way or another.”
Heritage Day is an annual community event in which the history of Lehi is celebrated at the Legacy Center at 123 North Center St. in Lehi. It all begins with a Showcase Parade down Main Street of the Honorees and an outdoor program in which honorees are celebrated with their own commemorative brick in the Walk of Fame garden in front of the Legacy Center. Afterward, city event includes displays, interactive activities, yummy food and a classic car show.
